Miata Club of the Philippines (MCP( who just celebrated its 10th year Anniversary
last year had a Fun Run (RORO) to Boracay last April 17-20, 2008. DMCI Home Inc. - owner and developer of Alta Vista de Boracay sponsored the event with a Photo Contest at DMCI’s Township Central in Taguig. Members of the Miata Camera Club (MCC) are among the Top Winners, Collin Yap bagged the 1st and 2nd Place while Ven Rojas won the 3rd Place.
Last April 16, 2008, the first MCP Boracay run finally took off. Lambert Ablaza and Santy Lomotan picked me up in a Grand Vitara at 9:30 pm to rush and be in time for the 11:00 pm departure from Petron SLEX. We got there at about 10:45 pm and I was surprised to see that no one else was around yet. We waited at Starbucks and Tristan Calixto and wife Ellen soon arrived with Collines and his wife Ningning in their Fortuner. Ven Rojas arrived in his Everest at 11:15 pm with his twins, their grandma and a yaya. Joy would be flying in via Cebu Pacific in the same flight as Keith Sundiang and his son Martin the following day, Thursday.
